Since its creation, like the great philosophers of yesterday, the Ecole Gérard Armand Joseph has given itself the mission of seeing man as a whole. And it is in this order of ideas that, both in its concern for excellence and in providing the best for students and contributing to their full development, Collège Gérard Armand Joseph has set up this democratic exercise. consisting of the formation of the Parliamentary Council, whose main purpose is to train their character and also to enable them, by the practice of things, to get closer each day a little more to the ideal of the Haitian man well done and well formed in all points of view, like the founder of the Schools, Mr. Gerard Armand Joseph.
Christmas & New Year Party / Interclasse Contest

To close the second period of the school year, and as a prelude to Christmas and New Year's Eve, the Council organizes, a day of celebration at the school where all the children are expected to participate. On this occasion the students organize an artistic competition incorporating three parts: Singing Dance Text - poetry, theatre. This competition aims to stimulate and to develop their artistic and literary skills by encouraging them to produce texts, create dance choreographies and songs.

Contest Of Miss Love TSOGAJ

This activity puts the girls and boys of the school in a pageant competition. Students learn through this competition that life is not a gift and that to succeed, you need the continuous effort. Under the supervision of a jury of 5 to 7 members, this competition takes place over four (4) Sundays. Starting in mid-January and ends on February 14, Valentine's Day, hence the name of "Miss Love GAJ Contest". It is however, a contest of competence and excellence and not just a vain beauty competition. This activity aims to enable participating students to: a) to fraternize, b) develop communication skills, c) to create and develop their artistic and literary talents d) To develop their know-how and the meaning of the protocol. The training schedule for this activity includes training sessions on: how to fight shyness and be self confident, the benefits of preparation, modeling, how to present oneself, the protocol Parents. The general public are invited to this watch this activity of the School. Haitian personalities are also invited to come and encourage the young people with their presence during the days of activity of this program.

Parade Of Words

Interclass spelling contest: this activity allows the children of the 4th thru 9th grade to develop their vocabulary. The Parade takes place from January thru April. The contest - The head of the cultural activities of the School makes available to each class a list of at least 1000 words. Each class forms a team of 5 members that are interchangeable and 5 students of the Secondary 1, 2, 3 and Philosophy classes are chosen as members of the Jury. The management of all the activities are monitored by the Culture and Leisure Committee, assisted by the Office of the Parliamentary Council. the winning class prize is Lunch - Pizza at the restaurant.

The Carnival

In February or March, the last Friday before the national carnival as determined by the government. The school organizes a carnival day of students. The objectives of this activity are to allow children:
- a) To have fun with each other in a healthy atmosphere
- b) To relax and destress from the rigorous coursework since the beginning of the school year
- c) To participate and live the Haitian culture though song and dance
- d) Teach the history of Carnival and why it remains an important part of the culture throughout the caribbean.
All costumed children participate and the day's program includes the following activities:

- 2) games - musical chair.

The Day Of Protocolar Colors

On the first Friday of April, all the children of the school,are required to dress in business attire or formal dresses. The purpose of this exercise is to allow the students to become aware and to be able to differentiate between the different dress codes and to recognize to teach that there is an outfit for each circumstance.
Professional Orientation Day

The Professional Orientation Day is held on the second Sunday of April. This activity brings together all the students in Secondary 1, 2, 3 classes with the goal of providing information on the various faculties and universities of the country as well as choosing the right job, career and profession. The day ends with a testimonial section of the schools alums from various professions.

The Garden Of Books

This activity spans two days: Thursday and Friday of the third (3rd) week of April. It's an activity that takes place around books. The activity encourages students not only to read but to look at the books with another glance. It creates a space where ideas can be shared discussed and analyzed with the goal of inspiring and motivating the students. This activity aims to promote the cultural values to help young people to find each other, arouse their ambitions to develop their intellectual faculties and the desire to become true creators.
The school's council invite personalities who can serve as role models. Various topics included in the program: Exhibitions & Sales of works by Haitian authors provides an opportunity to meet and speak with one or two personalities, screenings of films or documentaries, reading workshop, writing workshop and scenic readings.

The Gastronomic & Artisanal Fair

On the first Friday of May, the School's Parliamentary Council organizes the gastronomic and craft fair which aims to expose the children of the school to cooking and art. It's a great day of activity where the children contribute fruit or uncooked food. The goal is for each class to prepare a different menu item that will be evaluated by a jury of chefs. Also, the Students art and crafts are exhibited in the school galleria. The objective of this activity is to develop self-confidence and engage creativity.
